STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has landed another tight end prospect out of the transfer, Utah State transfer Grayson Brousseau, who was in Stillwater this weekend on a visit.

Brousseau, officially entered the transfer portal back on April 25 following spring football, is the second commitment from the visit weekend, joining BYU transfer, Carson Su’esu’e, who the Cowboys are recruiting to play tight end as well.

Grayson Brousseau

He checks in at 6-5, 225 pounds, and is coming off his freshman season for the Aggies where he redshirted.

Brousseau was a four-year starter for powerhouse Lehi (UT) HS, where he finished with 92 receptions for 1,151 yards and 11 touchdowns. He was tabbed second-team All-State his senior season, where he had 46 receptions for 612 yards and eight touchdowns.

He was also a four-year starter in basketball, which talented multi-sport athletes is something Mike Gundy has talked about for years.

The Cowboys have also spent a lot of time building relationships and recruiting the state of Utah in recent years. There are currently five players on the roster right now out of Utah, OL Tyler Brumfield, OL Nuku Mafi, TE Will Monney, OL Lavaka Taukeiaho and RB Sesi Vailahi. Brousseau would make the sixth.

They have landed multiple commitments from Utah the past few years, including Lehi TE Bryton Niu, who’s committed in the 2026 class.

Call me naive or uninformed about college football these days, but for the life of me, I don't understand why OSU needs so many tight ends this year. There are 7 or 8 on the roster currently and with the roster limitations of 105, it seems like the Pokes could make due with half that many and open up those roster spots for positions that are really in need.

I think that 2 or 3 of them are going to end up in the portal.

We do not need more tight ends. We need more OL and at least one more DT.

Question…. Lavaka Taukeiaho Is mentioned here as on the roster. Could've sworn Robert said on the radio today that he left. Did he misspeak and mean someone else? Did I hear him wrong?

I'm surprised as well with the number of tight ends as well. But surely the coaching staff has a plan where they can move some to other positions. There are several new 6'5" 225 lbs athletes vying for one position. We'll see what happens over the summer.

yep.... LOL

I guess they've already forgotten how ISU often lined up with 3 TEs in the game, or several other teams, including NFL will put in more than one TE at a time.

we're going to have so many scholarship kids, that we could probably have 8 TEs, but we'll let the fans decide how many players Gundy needs at each position.
