Oklahoma State Lands Commitment From Central Arizona College Pitcher Kai Fyke
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has landed a commitment from Central Arizona College pitcher, Kai Fyke.
Fyke checks in at 6-2, 205 pounds, and is originally out of British Columbia, Canada. The right-handed pitcher is coming off a solid sophomore season in which he helped lead the Vaqueros to a 43-19 overall record
He finished the season with a 4-2 overall record with two saves across 16 appearances, nine of which were starts. He recorded a 2.07 ERA across 65.1 innings pitched with 72 strikeouts and 18 walks, with nine coming in the month of May.
There are multiple Cowboy pitchers who will have decisions to make in the coming days leading up to the 2025 MLB Draft. Harrison Bodendorf is coming off an All-Big 12 junior season and Mario Pesca an All-Big 12 honorable mention junior season.
Junior Sean Youngerman also posted an All-Big 12 junior season, recording second team honors as both as starter and reliever.
It will be interesting to see how Fyke adjusts to playing in the Big 12 at the D1 level, switching the green and yellow of the Vaqueros for the orange and black of the Cowboys.
