
Oklahoma State Loses Commitment From 2026 Edge Jaylen Stewart
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is down a commitment in the 2026 class after edge rusher Jaylen Stewart flipped to Illinois on Sunday afternoon.
Out of Pearland, TX, Stewart checks in at 6-2, 230 pounds and made the decision to flip following an official visit to Illinois this weekend.
Stewart was the first commitment for the Pokes in the class, making his decision way back on February 20, two months ahead of his official visit to Stillwater.
This past season as a junior, Stewart posted 52 total tackles for the Oilers, 31 of which were solo stops with 10 sacks. Following the season, he was named a 6A Regional III District 22 first team selection.
Pokes Report has learned Stewart is currently dealing with a broken hip and his senior season is in doubt.
At the time of his commitment, Stewart was the No. 473 overall prospect in the class, the No. 38 overall edge rusher and the No. 64 overall ranked prospect in Texas according to the 247Sports composite. At the time of his decommitment, Stewart is the No. 602 overall prospect, the No. 58 overall edge in the class and the No. 84 overall prospect out of Texas.
