STILLWATER – Could Oklahoma State land a third talented Presley brother out of Bixby, OK? We’ll find out on July 3 as Braeden Presley took to his Instagram this week to drop his top four schools and commitment date.

Along with OSU, he’s listed Kansas State, OU and Texas Tech.

This past season as a junior, Presley recorded 14 carries for 245 yards and two rushing touchdowns, with 25 receptions for 356 yards and four touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, where the Cowboys are recruiting him, Presley recorded 39 total tackles, three tackles for loss with four interceptions.

Braeden is the younger brother of Oklahoma State’s all-time leader in receptions, Brennan Presley, who’s currently trying to make the roster for the Los Angeles Rams. Brennan finished his OSU career with 315 receptions for 3,315 yards and 23 touchdowns. He’s also one of just four OSU players with 5,000+ all-purpose yards, joining Barry Sanders, Thurman Thomas and Terry Miller.

As mentioned above, the younger Presley will announce his commitment on July 3.

Feels like a long shot. Obvious ties , but who knows if it will matter. Seems like all 3 of the other schools (well two of them at least for sure) are outspending us pretty significantly. Hopeful.

I thought he was dropping us, but it sounds like he included us in his final 4 announcement.

Let's see....

OU - instate, SEC (most likely if they have room)
TT - because they offer the most money
KS - because they are the best team in the B12
OS - because his brother went there and they have unknown coaches and schemes?

Any guesses on how this one is going to go?

Luckily, he's talented enough to know location won't affect his NFL prospects. But $ talks.....and OU may view this broader than just a 1 player get. It affects in state momentum into future years, so $ may flow!

Yeah and Kayden Jones, a ZERO U LEGACY, was thought to be a slam dunk for them with SEC NIL money and all until his dad spent time around Venables and that staff and basically told Cale Gundy, his old position Coach and of course Mikes brother, HELL NO when it came to letting his son play for them!!!

How do we know that other schools are spending more on NIL? As I understand the rules, there is a limit of about $20M for revenue sharing and some limits on additional NIL money spent.

Correct me if I am wrong but it seems that the payment issues are how much each school will pay for a specific player, not the total which finally seems to have a cap.

Rev sharing has nothing to do w/ NIL. Sadly TTU has a T.Boone type booster, these two who are now loaded: https://www.lubbockonline.com/story/news/2017/02/14/billion-capital-b-former-texas-tech-football-players-sell-company-28b/14874035007/

There needs to be a cap on everything, max per player, max per program, cause it's like the Gold Rush days and it's full-blown professionalism.

no need for name calling, I simply stated the obvious.

Which is your guess? (and frankly, if we didn't land Pressley that does not mean to ME that the sky is falling)

It won't happen until unfortunately, you get Congress involved and they pass certain legislation that is much like the anti trust exemption they have given to the professional sports leagues like the NFL where they allow a defacto type of socialism!!!
