Also, anyone know where he ranks on the star scale? I've seen some buzz but haven't caught where the major services have him slotted.
Would be a big-time getthose numbers and his film are impressive.
STILLWATER – One of Oklahoma State's top defensive line prospects is set to announce his commitment this week.
Ben Duncum, defensive lineman out of Austin (TX) Lake Travis, has set his commitment date for Wednesday at 1 p.m. CT. He’s set to choose between Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Kentucky and Wisconsin.
Duncum has close to 30 offers up to this point in his cycle, with official visits to Oklahoma State, Wisconsin, Kansas State and Kentucky in this order.
He spoke with Pokes Report following his visit to Stillwater.
“I mean it was a lot of fun. Honestly, it was pretty nice over there,” Duncum started. “I thought it was kind of more, like how it's like really college town, but it's not like old. I thought it was gonna be kind of like a like a nowhere town, not a lot of stuff to do. When we flew into Stillwater it is bigger than I thought. The actual camp itself was really nice, because my brother went to SMU and like the campus reminded me of that, and that was really nice. I knew the coaches were good, but I didn't know they're that good. Coach Grantham, coach Oz (Osborn), coach Eggen and coach Walker are the main coaches for my position. All of them have like NFL ties and a lot of them, other than coach Walker, have coached in the NFL.”
This past season as a junior, Duncum earned first-team All-District 26-6A honors after recording 65 total tackles, 15 tackles for loss, four sacks, two fumble recoveries and 20 quarterback hurries.
Simple one word answer! YES, these guys that were brought in by Gundy back in January are that good!!!GreyGhost said:
Do we think this class is being impacted by the recent staff turnover? We've had some big wins on the trail, especially in-state, but I wonder if the changesparticularly on the defensive sideare slowing momentum with certain guys like Duncum.
Are recruits buying into the new direction with Grantham and the rest of the staff? Or are we still feeling some of the fallout from all the shifting around? Would love to hear what others are seeing or hearing.
