I say doom and gloom jokingly as it wasn’t expect for any Cowboy to make the cut. There were more than 60 new players added to the roster. Mike Gundy also replaced his entire coaching staff. So, while it doesn’t really matter, the opinion of the Pokes around the Big 12 isn’t very high.

We’ll find out what the Big 12 coaches have to say about the Cowboys.

Defense will face:
RB: Bryson Washington, Baylor
PR/KR: Josh Cameron, Baylor
TE: Joe Royer, Cincinnati
OL: Bryan Foster, Kansas
FB/HB: Will Swanson, Kansas State
That is a great schedule to avoid the top preseason players and get a Defense going.

Offense will face 11 out of the 14 selected. Tougher Road ahead.

Really stings that we lost DJ McKinney- chalk that up to previous coaching staff and the lack of ability to retain players.

Teams that also have 0 selections:
Arizona, Houston, UCF… and we face all 3.

Again- this selection list is just like this post- an opinion…

We need 4 transfer players on each side of the ball to surprise us in a good way. We need a QB to impress, we need a couple of last years young ens to impress us. We need the new coaching staffs schemes to be successful and the ball and Lady Luck to bounce our way, if that mostly happens 7,8,9 are doable. If it's not falling our way 4,5,6 . Gundy should pull out all the stops!

Were you at the Spring Scrimmage on that rainy Saturday in April Grey Ghost? The only questions I had coming out of that were how much of an impact those MAY PORTAL TRANSFERS will have going into that first game! My guess from talking to Robert and also former recruiting staffer and thirty year College Coaching veteran Johnny Barr is that the following guys who came in during May will probably be starting after the non conference (first three games) schedule:

*Bob Schick OL

*Markell Samuel OL

*Christian Fitzpatrick WR

*De'Marion Thomas DT

*Zaquan Patterson DB

*Gabe Panikowski Kicker
