Oklahoma State Lands Commitment From 2027 Stillwater Ignacio Villasenor
STILLWATER – David Taylor and Co. just landed one of the top prospects in the 2027 class. Stillwater (OK) HS standout, Ignacio Villasenor, took to Instagram on Friday to announce his commitment to Oklahoma State.
“I am so excited to announce that I have committed to Oklahoma State University. I want to thank my parents, coaches, family, and friends for all their support and encouragement. They have helped me every step of the way, and I couldn’t have done it without them. I’m truly grateful for their love, support and belief in me!
“I’m looking forward to starting this new chapter at OSU. I couldn’t be any prouder of myself, as this has been a goal/dream of mine for a very long time.”
Villasenor rolled through the 2024-25 season with just one loss, and rolling his way through the OSSAAs, winning a state title at 113 pounds with a 16-1 tech fall in his first match, an 8-1 fall in 1:20 and a 12-2 major decision in the finals.
He transferred to Stillwater ahead of the 2024 season, having won a 5A Colorado state title at 113 pounds in 2023-24 as a freshman. He was also a U17 World bronze medalist.
