Oregon Indefinitely Suspends Former Five-Star Receiver Jurrion Dickey

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State travels up to Eugene, Ore., on September 6 for a showdown with seventh-ranked Oregon Ducks. Well, the Ducks are now down a wide receiver as head coach Dan Lanning announced on Tuesday the indefinite suspension of former five-star receiver, Jurrion Dickey.

“We’ve got two team rules: That’s be respectful and be on time,” Lanning told the media on Tuesday. “There’s some pieces of that where I felt like he needed a break from us and we needed a break from that to focus on what’s in front of us right now. Wishing him nothing but the best as far as success and want to see him get back to where he can be a contributor for somewhere. That might be here. That might be somewhere else but won’t spend any more time on that.”

This news comes just a few days after it was reported star freshman defensive back, Trey McNutt, is out for the season with a broken right leg. McNutt was the No. 31 overall prospect in the 2025 class and the No. 2 overall safety.

Dickey has played in just 15 games with just two catches for 14 yards across his two seasons with the Ducks, with fans, media and members of the coaching staff thinking he could take a big step up on the field.

He was the main member of the 2023 recruiting class for the Ducks, coming in as the No. 18 overall prospect in the class and the No. 2 overall receiver. For as much success as the Ducks have had over the years, Dickey was the second-highest rated receiver in program history.
