STILLWATER – After months of waiting, speculation and discussing, the season opener for Oklahoma State is finally here. The Pokes kick the season off against Tennessee Martin at 6:30, with the game being streamed on ESPN+.

The Cowboys will also be looking to continue the longest-active home opener win streak in college football. A win tonight will give them 10 straight season-opening wins and 30-straight wins in home openers.

We’ll give you two offensive topics, two defensive topics and one special teams topic to predict.

After reading through the article, we ask that you drop a comment below to give your thoughts on if the Pokes will go over/under on each of the topics. Even though it’s Over/Under, much like Vegas, you can choose to push a topic if you feel it won’t be over or under.

Over/Under 250 combined passing yards

Last year was…rough to say the least. But it’s really all we can go off of with so many new players. The combination of five passers last season, Alan Bowman, Maealiuaki Smith, Garret Rangel, Ollie Gordon II and Brennan Presley combined for 262.3 passing yards per game. Neither Hauss Hejny nor Zane Flores have attempted a pass at the collegiate level. While Hejny is getting the start, Flores will play as well. Can the duo combine for at least 250 yards?

Over/Under 150 combined rushing yards

Much like the quarterback situation, there’s going to be more than one running back play as the coaches are still trying to figure who “the guy” is going to be. Last season was one of the worst rushing seasons the Pokes have had in a while, averaging just 111.8 yards per game. Shaking off last season, can the running back combine for at least 150 rushing yards?

Over/Under five tackles for loss

This is virtually a completely different defensive unit than the Pokes had last season, complete with an entirely new coaching staff. Everything we’ve heard out of Fall Camp and the first few weeks of official practices is the defense is more aggressive and physical than ones we’ve seen in recent years. Can this new group of Pokes combine for at least five tackles for loss?

Over/Under two turnovers

The Pokes combined for 12 interceptions and three fumble recoveries last season. With the aggression I just wrote about, can this year’s team combine for at least two turnovers against the Skyhawks?

Over/Under three made field goals

Logan Ward won the kicking job over transfer Gabe Panikowski. Ward was 12-of-17 on field goals last year, and I feel those numbers would’ve been higher if the offense could’ve moved the ball last year. Can Ward and/or Panikowski make at least three field goals?
