Kaydin Jones Decommits from Oklahoma State in Wake of Mike Gundy Firing
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State just lost a commitment from four-star Jenks running back, Kaydin “KD” Jones, in the wake of the firing of head coach Mike Gundy.
The news was first reported by Hayes Fawcett of On3 and Rivals.
Jones had been committed to the Pokes since March 26 and has been to a hot start to his senior season with the Trojans. In the win over Union, Jones had 14 carries for 196 yards and two touchdowns, 34 carries for 160 yards and three touchdowns in the win over Owasso and had 141 rushing yards and 67 receiving yards and five total touchdowns in the win over Edmond (OK) Santa Fe in the season opener.
Even though it’s only for current players, with the firing of the head coach, a 30-day transfer portal window has opened up for current players on the OSU roster.
It’s hard to think this will be the only decommitment the Cowboys will see in the 2026 class. They have yet to land a commitment in the 2027 class.
