STILLWATER – Following Oklahoma State’s 45-27 loss to Baylor on Saturday, the fourth game of the season, players are starting to announce they’re redshirting and entering the transfer portal.
The NCAA opens a 30-day transfer portal window following the firing of a head coach. Mike Gundy was fired last Tuesday, with the portal opening on Wednesday. The game against Baylor was the fourth of the season, allowing players who are eligible to redshirt to preserve eligibility and enter the portal.
Long snapper Shea Freibaum was the first player to take to Twitter on Sunday to announced he’s entered the portal.
The second player being reported on Monday morning that junior safety Dylan Smith is expected to enter the portal.
The junior out of Little Elm, TX, has played in all four games this season, recording 14 total tackles, seven solo and assisted apiece. He has one forced fumble and one fumble recovery and 1.5 tackles for loss.
He’s played in 25 games in his three-year career, recording 77 total tackles, 55 of which were solo stops. He’s had three pass break ups, two interceptions and one force fumble and fumble recovery apiece.
