STILLWATER – Oklahoma State hits the road this weekend for their Big 12 conference game against Arizona. This is the first year of Big 12 player availability reports, with teams required to send in their initial reports by Wednesday evening.
The Cowboys’ list isn’t as extensive as it was ahead of the Baylor game last week, but there are a few new names on the questionable list.
Tight end Josh Ford, running back Freddie Brock IV, defensive end Jaleel Johnson and linebacker Taje McCoy are all listed as questionable going into the game on Saturday.
Four players who are not listed on the report are long snapper Shea Freibaum and safeties Dylan Smith and DeAndre Boykins, who announced they have entered the transfer portal, and defensive lineman, De’Marion Thomas, who is taking a redshirt for the remainder of the season but staying with the program.
The Cowboys are coming off a 45-27 loss to Baylor this past weekend in Stillwater in the Big 12 opener. As for the Wildcats, they lost on the road to Iowa State, 39-14. They’re currently 3-1 on the season.
Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT and is being televised on TNT.
