Over/Under: Five Stat Predictions for Oklahoma State vs. Cincinnati
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is set to host No. 24 Cincinnati on Saturday for a Homecoming match up at 7 p.m. on ESPN2. The Cowboys will be looking to snap a 14-game FBS losing streak as they’re coming off a 39-17 loss to Houston. As for the Bearcats, they’re fresh off 20-11 win over UCF.
Here’s our list of five stat predictions for the match up. You’ll chose over or under the number listed, or you can push the stat, just like they do in Vegas.
Over/Under 100 passing yards
It’s been a challenging year throwing the ball for the Pokes as starting quarterback Hauss Hejny went down in the season opener, back up Zane Flores struggled in the games he played and then got injured at Arizona. Wide receiver Sam Jackson V has also struggled to throw the ball. Can the Cowboys combine to throw for at least 100 yards against the Bearcats?
Over/Under one non-QB thrown passes for OSU
Running backs and wide receivers have combined to throw a few touchdown passes and non-QB trick plays this year for the Pokes, including the 63-yard pass thrown by Shamar Rigby last week. Can the Pokes combine for at least one non-QB thrown pass?
Over/Under two turnovers created
While stopping offenses from getting into the end zone has been a challenge for the Pokes this year, they’ve certainly created quite a few turnovers. Can they force at least two on Saturday?
Over/Under four tackles for loss
The Cowboy defense has also done a decent job the past few weeks recording sacks and tackles for loss. Can they cause some disruption and get into the backfield to record at least four tackles for loss?
Over/Under two made field goals
Logan Ward has been solid this season, going 10-of-12 from field goal range, getting close to clearing that 50-yard mark. He’s hit two in four games so far, can he keep that streak going on Saturday, or maybe clear the two FG mark?
