Oklahoma State fell to Kansas on Saturday afternoon, 38-21, up in Lawrence, KS. It dropped the Pokes to 1-8 on the season and 0-6 in Big 12 play.

Interim head coach Doug Meacham met with the media following the game.

Here’s what he had to say about the Pokes’ defensive efforts.

“I mean, what did we hold them to, 334 or something like that? I mean, they’re a good offense. They do a lot of good things. They throw the ball really well. I think they’re 39th or something in passing offense. Quarterback’s really athletic. When a quarterback can run around like that, it makes it even harder. I thought they did a good job. We competed. I was pleased for the most part. I just think that first drive of the third quarter, you wish you had it back, could have got a stop there, because that felt like they just kinda ran right through us. That was kind of a little bit of a turning point maybe. But I thought they had a good plan and they played hard. You know, they held them under their average, for sure, at home. So, they did alright.”
