STILLWATER – Oklahoma State took Wdnesday off following their 95-71 season opening win over Oral Roberts, and then the Cowboys were  back at practice on Thursday morning starting preparation for a huge non conference game on Sunday afternoon with Texas A&M out of the SEC. Zach Lancaster wrote about how the A&M series will boost Oklahoma State in the NET.

If the Cowboys are going to win, it would help to have a full compliment of their roster. Texas A&M comes in with a 2-0 record having beaten Northwestern State 98-68 and then added a 104-70 win over Texas Southern Thursday night.

Vyctorius Miller led the Cowboys against ORU with 21 points.

“They will come in here with three games under their belt and they were able to scrimmage Rice and an exhibition with Arizona State (95--88),” Lutz said of the set-up with the matchup with Texas A&M. “We were able to get two high level exhibition games. Would I have liked to have another week, sure. But this is fun, this is what you are doing it for. Let’s tee it up on Sunday afternoon and see how we do, see how they do, anddpack GIA. It should be great atmosphere and hope that we can build on what we did the second half against Oral Roberts.”

As we mentioned, Oklahoma State was without three major contributors on opening night including bigg-ttime scorers Anthony Roy and Isaiah Coleman. Luz was asked how those two and post Lefters Mantzoukas are doing and whether they will play against the Aggies.

Coleman sounds like he will be ready for Texas A&M.

“Anthony (Roy) is going to be day-to-day and a game time decision with his groin injury,” started Lutz with his MASH report. “Lefteris (Mantzoukas), I would like to hope that he’s back, but again, a game time decision. Isaiah Coleman is back. he will be back for the game.”

It sounds like a good chance for two out of three, Coleman and one of the other two at least.
