STILLWATER – There will be plenty of offensive firepower as Oklahoma State hosts Texas A&M on Sunday in a pseudo-Big 12/SEC Challenge in Gallagher-Iba Arena. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN2.

Both teams are undefeated to start the season, the Cowboys 1-0 having beat ORU 95-71 on Tuesday and the Aggies 2-0 after beating Northwestern State 98-68 and Texas Southern 104-70.

Regardless of their first two opponents, the Aggies are averaging 101 points per game on nearly 52% shooting from the floor, nearly 37% from 3-point range and nearly 72% from the free throw line. Rebounding isn’t anywhere near where I’m sure Bucky McMillan, the former Samford head coach and creator of ‘Bucky Ball’ wants it to be as they’re outrebounding their opponents 36 to 32.

Now, when you’re outscoring your opponents by more than 30 points a game, you can get away with a close rebound margin.

They’re currently led by grad transfer, Rashaun Agee, who checks in at 6-8, 231 pounds. Like a lot of players nowadays, Agee is on his fifth school. He started his career with two seasons at New Mexico State, where he played for head coach Chris Jans and the former Associate Head Coach of NMSU, James Miller, OSU’s current Associate Head Coach.

Agee then played one year at Casper College, two seasons at Bowling Green and last season with USC.

In two games, Agee is averaging 14 points on 70% shooting from the floor in 36 minutes of action. He’s averaging just three rebounds a game with four assists and two blocks.

Ruben Dominguez is also averaging 14 points a game on nearly 47% shooting from the floor, 39% from 3-point range and 90% from the free throw line. He’s a 6-6, 213-pound sophomore guard out of Puerto Real, Spain.

The leader in assists is Rylan Griffen with nine assists in two games. He’s also averaging 13.5 points per game on 60% shooting from the floor and 44% from 3-point range. He spent his first two years of college at Alabama before transferring to Kansas.

A name familiar to OSU fans is Pop Isaacs, who’s played at both Texas Tech and Creighton. The junior is averaging 7.0 points per game. Now, a name which should be very familiar to OSU fans is Federiko Federiko, a 6-11, 226-pound center out of Finland. Federiko was signed with Oklahoma State, but it fell through due to academic issues. He officially began his career at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, OK, where he was an NJCAA All-America honorable mention before transferring to Pittsburgh and Texas Tech. He’s averaging 8.5 points and leading the Aggies with 7.0 rebounds per game.

As for the Cowboys, they’re averaging 95 points per game on 44% shooting from the floor, 32% from 3-point range and nearly 77% from the free throw line. Vyctorius Miller is leading the Cowboys in scoring with 21 points per game on nearly 55% shooting from the floor. Parsa Fallah and Christian Coleman each have 15 points apiece, while Jaylen Curry is at 13 points and Andrija Vukovic is at 11 points.

It’s just two games for the Aggies and one for the Cowboys, but get ready for some explosive offense on Sunday.
