STILLWATER – It’s national signing day and Oklahoma State wrestling’s top prospect is officially a Cowboy as Jax Forrest has signed with the Pokes.
Forrest has had a dominant 2025 so far. He won the Senior US Open at 61kg, where he beat Vito Arujau, the 2023 world champion, to earn a spot with Team USA. As a senior in high school, Forrest finished fourth at Worlds in September.
Then a month later, Forrest became the U23 world champion at 61kg as he beat Omurbek Asan Uulu from Kyrgyzstan, 17-14, after he teched his way into the finals with three impressive wins of 13-0, 10-0 and 15-5.
Forrest committed to the Cowboys back in early February and has held fast ever since, even moving to Stillwater to train with the RTC throughout the last several months while not competing.
He’s won two Super 32 titles, two Fargo Junior freestyle titles, as well as a U17 World silver medal. He’s also won two PIAA Class AA state titles with Bishop McCort in Johnstown, PA, and will going for a third this year.
