STILLWATER – Oklahoma State’s defensive efforts will be put to the test Wednesday night as they’re playing host to South Florida. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.
The Cowboys are 4-0 on the season for the first time since the 2020-21 season.
As for the Bulls, they are 3-1 overall on the season, with wins over Florida A&M, Coppin State and Kennesaw State. Their lone loss on the year came at 2025 Basketball Hall of Fame Tipoff, 99-95, to George Washington.
This will be the Pokes’ first real test of the season as the Bulls are seventh in the nation in scoring at 101.2 points per game. They’re outscoring their opponents by 25 points, holding them to just 76 points per game. The Bulls are shooting 48% from the floor, 30% from 3-point range and 78% from the free throw line.
They’re outrebounding their opponents 43 to 35, and are forcing an impressive 19 turnovers per game, leading to 25 points on the other end. As for the Bulls’ offense, they’re turning the ball over just 11 times per game for 12 points on the other end. They also have an impressive five blocks per game.
Senior guard Josh Omojafo is the leading scorer on the team with nearly 20 points per game on 60% shooting from the floor and 55% from 3-point range. He’s also shooting 90% from the free throw line on 27-of-30 shooting.

There are three other players in double-digits with senior forward Izaiyah Nelson averaging nearly 16 points per game on an impressive 63% shooting from the floor and 10.3 rebounds per game for a double-double. He’s also shooting 89% from the free throw line on 24-of-27 shooting.
Guards CJ Brown and Wes Enis are averaging 13.3 points and 12.3 points respectively.
Now, while the Bulls are prolific scorers, this will be their best test this season as well as the Cowboys are holding opponents to just 67.5 points per game on 35% shooting from the floor. This will be a fast-paced and high-scoring game in GIA Wednesday night. So, while I’m not advocating for the ticket office, you’re going to want to be in the orange seats for this one.
