Oklahoma State Men's Cross Country Wins Sixth National Title

The Cowboys won their sixth NCAA title on Saturday, the 55th overall in Oklahoma State history.

Oklahoma State men’s cross country just won their sixth overall national championship on Saturday morning at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course up in Columbia, Missouri. 

It marked the program’s second national title in the last three years and OSU’s 55th overall national championship as an athletic department. 

Cowboy junior Brian Musau led the way for the Pokes with a time of 28:41.2, gaining the team four points. He was followed by Fouad Messaoudi, who finished in fifth with a time of 28:42.8, and Denis Kipngetich, who finished in sixth with a time of 28.44.3. 

Adisu Guadia finished in 12th with a time of 28:49.7 and Ryan Schoppe in 34th with a time of 29:01.7. 

As a team, the Cowboys finished with 57 overall points, 25 points ahead of the second-place team, New Mexico.

As for the Cowgirls, they finished in 12th place. Isca Chelangat was the top placer in seventh place with a time of 18:56.1.
