STILLWATER – Less than 12 hours after being announced as the new head coach at Oklahoma State and Eric Morris is already offering prospects in the 2026 class. Carson Crawford, a four-star linebacker out of Carthage, TX, took to Twitter last Tuesday night to announce his OSU offer.
Crawford checks in at 6-2, 215 pounds and is out of Carthage (TX) HS who is currently committed to Colorado. He currently holds more than 10 offers, with Colorado, Houston and Oklahoma State being the only P4 offers.
The Bulldogs are currently 12-0 on the season, coming off a 63-15 win over Sanger in the UIL 4A Texas playoffs this past Friday.
Crawford has been on a tear his senior season as he leads Carthage with 88 total tackles, 54 of which have been solo stops, with 15 tackles for loss, five sacks and 21 QB hurries. He also has three pass break ups, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
On the offensive side of the ball, he has 15 receptions for 198 yards and three touchdowns. He’s also a perfect 1-for-1 passing for 21 yards and a touchdown.
As a junior last year, Crawford helped lead the Bulldogs to a 15-1 overall record and a 4A state title as they beat La Vega in the title game, 28-14. He recorded 91 total tackles on the season, 55 solo stops, 22 tackles for loss, nine sacks, four forced fumbles, two pass break ups, one fumble recovery, one pick and 21 QB hurries.
The Cowboys currently hold nine commitments in the 2026 class, which includes ATH Braeden Presley, OL Aiden Martin, CB Brandon Ford, DE Landon Bland, DB Carter Langenderfer, CB Maliek Bracy, TE Bryton Niu, WR Julius Wilson and OL Sunia Vuki. I would imagine the first calls Morris made after signing were to the current commitments. Now, you’re starting to see offers to other players. Expect there to be a flurry of offers over the next month leading into signing day.
