Oklahoma State Falls to Iowa State 20-13 on Senior Day

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State’s 2025 season is finally over following a 20-13 loss to Iowa State on Senior Day.

With the loss, the Cowboys finish the season 1-11 overall and 0-9 in Big 12 play, making it two-straight 0-9 seasons in Big 12 play and an 18-game conference losing streak. 

The Cowboys combined for 219 yards of total offense, 192 through the air and just 27 rushing yards.

Quarterback Zane Flores went 18-of-28 for 156 yards and one interception. He had seven carries for negative 15 yards, which included sacks.

Trent Howland led the way in rushing with 14 carries for 37 yards and one touchdown.

As for the defense, they held the Cyclones to 315 total yards, 113 through the air and 202 on the ground. 

Logan Ward was 2-of-2 on field goals, with a long 41 yards.

The lone touchdown of the day for the Pokes came late in the second quarter on an eight-yard run by Howland, which capped one of the best drives for the Pokes all season. It was a 14-play, 80-yard drive which took nearly seven minutes off the clock. 

The drive featured a 12-yard completion from Flores to Terrill Davis to the ISU 49-yard line. Then, on 4th and 4, Flores completed one of his best passes of the season with a 20-yard completion to Shamar Rigby over the middle. A few plays later, Flores hit Rigby again but for 13 yards to the ISU seven-yard line, followed by the touchdown by Howland.
