Booooooom!! Go pokes!

My condolences to the people who constantly opined OKST is poor and couldn't afford to play big boy football.

Yes, football players can verbally commit before the portal officially opens

Mestemaker can enter the portal with a "no contact" tag should he choose to follow Morris to Oklahoma State. However, if he does not enter with the tag, other schools can work to land Mestemaker out of the portal.

When your coach leaves, you can enter the portal early. That is how OK State has already lost over 40 players to the portal already.

Anyone want to take a guess as to what type of # we are working with for overall team 'payroll' next season?

If Mestemaker is truly getting 3.5M (almost 6x as much as we've paid anyone else to to this point, I believe?) what does that leave us to build a team with?

Have to assume now that Hawkins is going to likely garner a 6 figure offer himself. Can we afford to pay 5M to just maybe the 3 UNT skill players and build a competitive team on both sides of the ball?

Anyone know how much we spent last season to go off of? I've never heard.
