Mestermaker checks in at 6-4, 211 pounds, and is coming off his redshirt freshman season with the Mean Green. And what a season it was as he led the nation in passing yards with 4,379 yards and passing touchdowns with 34 on 69% passing.
He also had 57 carries for 89 yards and five touchdowns.
Originally out of Vandegrift HS and Austin, TX, Mestemaker walked on at UNT as a true freshman before bursting onto the scene this past season. He now reunites with Morris and now offensive coordinator and QB coach for the Pokes, Sean Brophy.
Mestemaker is the first commitment out of the portal for Eric Morris and Co., and he’s certainly the biggest transfer commitment Oklahoma State has ever had.
