STILLWATER – It’s official: Drew Mestemaker has committed to Oklahoma State. The five-star transfer quarterback from North Texas was in Stillwater on Saturday for an official visit.

Robert Allen reported Mestemaker was signing with Oklahoma State on December 30, a two-year contract worth $3.5 million per year.

You can read our breaking story from three days ago right here.

Mestermaker checks in at 6-4, 211 pounds, and is coming off his redshirt freshman season with the Mean Green. And what a season it was as he led the nation in passing yards with 4,379 yards and passing touchdowns with 34 on 69% passing.

He also had 57 carries for 89 yards and five touchdowns.

Originally out of Vandegrift HS and Austin, TX, Mestemaker walked on at UNT as a true freshman before bursting onto the scene this past season. He now reunites with Morris and now offensive coordinator and QB coach for the Pokes, Sean Brophy.

Mestemaker is the first commitment out of the portal for Eric Morris and Co., and he’s certainly the biggest transfer commitment Oklahoma State has ever had.

Outstanding! Nice job RA on breaking this several days ago.

Get the best 15-20 players from UNT who know the system and a few additional difference makers on defense and let's freaking go!

Amazing in that the if true the $3.5 million is almost as much as Mason Rudolph currently draws in as an 8 year NFL veteran QB! I think Mason makes about $3.6 million!
