STILLWATER – Eric Morris and Co. just landed the second offensive standout from the transfer portal in North Texas running back, Caleb Hawkins.

Hawkins checks in at 6-2, 200 pounds and is originally out of North Rock Creek HS outside of Shawnee, OK.

This past season as a true freshman, Hawkins was a top five running back in the FBS as he rushed for 1,434 yards and a nation-leading 25 rushing touchdowns.

He was also a threat out of the backfield with 32 catches for 370 yards and four touchdowns.

Hawkins is the second player of the Mean Green three-headed monster along with quarterback Drew Mestemaker, who committed to Oklahoma State on Saturday, and receiver Wyatt Young, who was also in Stillwater on a visit with the other two.

247Sports ranks Young as a four-star prospect in the portal, the No. 39 overall prospect in the country and the No. 10 WR in this portal class. His quarterback, Drew Mestemaker, is the No. 3 overall prospect and the No. 3 overall QB in the class and Caleb Hawkins is the No. 16 overall prospect and the No. 2 overall running back.

Hawkins is the fourth overall commitment out of the portal for Morris and Co. as he joins QB Drew Mestemaker, SFA punter Lachie Pozzobon and SMU long snapper Nolan Akins.
