STILLWATER – It appears a former Oklahoma State commit is back in the fold. According to a report from On3, SMU transfer Billy Walton III has signed with Eric Morris and Co.
Walton III, who’s originally out of Dallas (TX) South Oak Cliff, checks in at 6-3, 250 pounds, and is coming off two seasons with SMU.
His redshirt freshman season in 2024, Walton III played in nine games and recorded 11 total tackles, six of which were solo stops, which included 0.5 tackles for loss.
This past season in 2025, he played in 13 games and recorded six total tackles, two of which were tackles for loss.
He flipped from Oklahoma State to Texas in late June of 2022, and played in just two games as a true freshman for the Longhorns before transferring to SMU.
