STILLWATER – Oklahoma State had two member of the Big 12 Champion Texas Tech Red Raiders slated to visit once the transfer portal opened up and now the second signing in defensive end and edge rusher Braylon Rigsby has been added to the first pledge in Broken Arrow, Okla. native and cornerback Maurion Horn. Rigsby committed or signed or both on Thursday Jan. 8 and he now makes 32 transfer portal additions for new head coach Eric Morris and his staff.

Rigsby is a junior-to-be for next season that is 6-2, 270 pounds and is originally out of Woodville, Texas. He played in all 14 games this season. one of his best games came against Oklahoma State. He recorded a season-high two tackles against Oklahoma State (10/25) and BYU (11/8) and had hits on the quarterback against Kent State (9/6) and Oklahoma State. Overall, he had six tackles, four unassisted and the two quarterback hits or hurries.

He really developed in his freshman to redshirt freshman season and saw action in 2024 in 12 of 13 games. He started against North Texas. He recorded 18 tackles overall (5 solo), including 3.0 that went for a loss … added three quarterback hurries and a pass breakup near the line of scrimmage. Rigsby had at least one tackle in nine of his 12 games played with multiple stops in five of those contests. The bulk of his tackles - 13 to be exact - came during the final month of the season as well as in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl versus Arkansas.

He had a career-high four tackles at Oklahoma State, marking his third-straight game with multiple stops. Rigsby contributed to two third-down stops of Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II, keeping him to a four-yard gain in the second quarter for a punt and then another four-yard reception in the third quarter to set up a missed field goal attempt. He also showed big-time athleticism when he stopped a screen for his final tackle for loss on the year in the fourth quarter, dropping Brennan Presley for a one-yard loss.

He redshirted his true freshman season and only played in one-game and that was Tarelton State.

In high school at Woodville, he was named the District 9-3A MVP following his senior season after a 9-3 record. He posted 79 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks and an interception during final prep season and also got his hands on four kicks for key blocks.
