Add One More from North Texas: DT Saadiq Clements Makes it 20 from UNT
(Robert Allen of Pokes Report contributed to this story.)
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State’s transfer portal haul is now up to 34 and defensive tackle Saadiq Clements is a badly needed addition on the defensive line at tackle. The 6-4, 290 pound junior-to-be makes it 20 total North Texas players that have migrated up I-35 to join their old coach, Eric Morris, the new head coach at Oklahoma State.
This past season as a sophomore, Clements played in 12 games, eight of which were starts, making 26 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks, with one forced fumble.
The best game of his career came against USF as he recorded seven tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack against the Bulls. He also had four total tackles in the American Conference title game against Tulane.
He played his first two seasons with Louisville, played in just two games in the 2024 season with one tackle. Clements went to high school and is out of Henderson, Ky.
Clements makes 13 players on defense for the Pokes out of the portal and seven of those are from North Texas.
