Oklahoma State Has Players Report, Add OL Shaun Torgeson Out of Portal
STILLWATER – Most of the new Oklahoma State football team, and believe it this is primarily a very new Oklahoma State football team, with freshmen like running back KD Jones and Bixby standout Braeden Presley combined with portal newcomers like quarterback Drew Mestemaker and running back Caleb Hawkins with a few holdovers like Jaleel Johnson and Ladainain Fields all met and had a team dinner last night. We’re not sure whether he was there but there was a late pickup in the transfer portal in Portland State offensive tackle Shaun Torgeson.
His commitment/signing is confirmed on social media as his Twitter/X account shows him as an Oklahoma State player and OSU business student.
The 6-4, 290 pound Torgeson started all 12 games last season at left tackle for the Portland State Vikings. Portland State went 1-11 last season and 1-7 in the Big Sky. A rough year, but Torgeson graded decent despite the tough going as a team. He is a redshirt freshman so he should have three years of eligibility left. He played in four games (offensive guard) as a true freshman to retain his redshirt.
He is originally out of Los Angeles and St. Bonaventure High School where he was a two-year starter.
Torgeson is again, the 44th portal pickup for Oklahoma State. he is the 22nd player on offense and the 8th offensive lineman to come to OSU from the transfer portal.
