Oklahoma State Lands Commitment From Vanderbilt Cornerback Trudell Berry
STILLWATER – Eric Morris and Co. are bringing in yet another defensive player out of Power Four ranks as Trudell Berry has committed to Oklahoma State. Berry took to his Instagram account to post photos of his visit to Stillwater after a report from On3 of Berry’s commitment.
Berry checks in at 6-1, 196 pounds and is out Baytown, Texas, just outside of Houston, and was a four-star cornerback coming out of Lee HS.
During his time in Nashville, Berry played in 24 games across three seasons, recorded 29 total tackles, which included two tackles for loss, six pass break ups and one forced fumble.
He played in just four games as a true freshman, making just one tackle before retaining his redshirt. 2023 was his best season as he played in nine games, recording 21 total tackles and one tackle for loss. His career-high in tackles was nine against UNLV.
Berry played in 11 of 13 games as a junior in 2024, recorded just seven tackles on the season, and he did not record any stats in the 2025 season this past fall. According to reports out of Nashville, Berry was sidelined due to undisclosed issues.
Berry is now the 49th player out of the transfer portal for Morris and Co.
