STILLWATER – One of the main needs remaining for Eric Morris and Co. is at interior defensive tackle. Well, they added some much-needed size and depth as Washington transfer Dominic Macon signed with Oklahoma State on Sunday.

Macon checks in at 6-3, 310 pounds and is coming off a true freshman season in which he didn’t record a snap. So, certainly unproven at this level.

He’s originally from Savannah, GA, he played his high school ball at Adrienne C. Nelson in Happy Valley, Oregon. In 2024, Macon helped the Hawks to a 7-3 overall recorded, 6-1 in league play and a second-place finish in 6A Mt. Hood.

He also wrestled for Nelson, finishing his senior season with a perfect 33-0 record and becoming the program’s first ever wrestling state champ as he was a member of the first four-year graduating class. He also played saxophone and marched in the band at halftime.

According to an article from KPTV FOX-12, Macon planned on studying construction management at UW, and this is what his former head coach had to say about his game.

Macon is now the 53rd overall commitment from the transfer portal for Eric Morris and Co., and the 23rd on the defensive side of the ball.
