STILLWATER – Eric Morris and Co. are looking for their quarterback in the 2027 class and are looking sound of the Red River as Luke Babin announced an offer from Oklahoma State.
Babin is a 6-3, 200-pound four-star quarterback out of Woodville (TX) HS, which is nearly two hours northeast of Houston. He committed to Vanderbilt early in his recruiting cycle in September 2025, and he currently holds offers from Baylor, Houston, TCU, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt and UTSA.
This past season as a junior, Babin helped the Eagles to a 9-3 overall record, 5-1 in district play and an appearance in the UIL 3A playoffs.
In 12 games, Babin threw for 3,063 yards and 40 touchdowns on 63% passing and just five interceptions, three less than when he was a sophomore. He also had 76 carries for 562 yards and seven touchdowns.
As a sophomore, Babin led the Eagles to a 13-3 overall record, 5-1 in district play and a trip to the Texas 3A state title game, resulting in a 28-0 loss to 14-2 overall Gunter, who finished the season in a 13-game win streak.
Across, 16 games as a sophomore, Babin threw for 2,106 yards and 23 touchdowns on 136-of-245 passing with eight interceptions. He also had 54 carries for 350 yards and five rushing touchdowns.
The Cowboys are still looking for their first commitment in the 2027 class ahead of the February signing period for the ’26 class.
