Kale Smith Granted Extra Year of Eligibility Following Medical Waiver
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has another defensive back back into the mix as corner Kale Smith has been granted another year of eligibility following a medical waiver from the NCAA.
He had missed enough games over the course of his career due to various injuries to make a complete season, and Oklahoma State was able to document it enough to get a sixth year.
Smith is a 5-11 corner out of Midwest City, OK, who showed up in Stillwater for the 2021 season but missed the season due to an injury. He redshirted in 2022 after three games,
He played in the first six games of the 2025 season this past fall, 20 total tackles, 13 of which were solo stops, one tackle for loss, two pass break ups and one interception against UT Martin.
He missed the rest of the ‘25 season with an injury.
Over the course of his career, Smith has recorded 48 total tackles, 36 of which have been solo stops, two tackles for loss, two interceptions and 10 pass break ups.
