STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State Cowgirls are dancing in the NCAA Tournament as a No. 8 seed. They’ll face No. 9 seed Princeton in Region 2 Sacramento, with the winner going to face No. 1 overall seed UCLA.
“I think it will be like that for the rest of my life,” Jacie Hoyt said of the excitement of seeing Oklahoma State make the NCAA tournament bracket. “It’s something that I will never take for granted; you know I’ve been talking to our team a lot about that just that a very, very small percentage of teams get to hear their name called today and to be a part of it is just a huge blessing and something that is an expectation, but that we also don’t want to take for granted.”

The Cowgirls finished the regular season with a 23-9 overall record, 12-6 in Big 12 play and finished as the third-highest Big 12 team in the NET at No. 29. That’s being No. 12 TCU and No. 18 West Virginia.
In conference play, the Cowgirls were fourth in the conference with 73 points per game on 43% shooting from the floor.
Game one will be on March 21, with tipoff time and TV details being announced at a later time.
