STILLWATER – The transfer portal era of college athletics is such a wild time. Usually, it’s players leaving a school for greener pastures, but they stick around on occasion. While there’s been no confirmation as of Friday, April 3, it appears Jaylen Curry is hinting at a return for next season.
Curry shared a post from his trainer on Friday, which showed the two after a workout in Charlotte, NC. The caption read “Daily workouts: Had a great workout with my guy Jaylen Curry we put in the WORK!! Today my guy is ready and POISED for another breakout yr @OSUMBB 100%...”
Curry played in 33 games this past season for the Pokes, starting in seven games and averaged nearly 24 minutes per game. In that time, he averaged 10 points and 3.2 rebounds per game on 42% shooting from the floor and nearly 32% from 3-point range.
What’s more impressive is he averaged 3.5 assists per game with just over one turnover per game. Efficient.
As of now, guard Daniel Guetta is the only player in the portal for the Pokes, but that number is expected to grow just based on how college basketball operates right now. Steve Lutz and Co. being able to keep Curry would be a massive get back for the Pokes.
