STILLWATER – Less than 24 hours after adding Youngstown State transfer defensive back, Eric Morris and Co. have added another transfer defensive back in Miami (FL) safety, Markeith Williams.

Williams, a former four-star defensive back out of Orlando, FL, in the 2022 class, checks in 6-2, 175 pounds. He spent three seasons with the Hurricanes, playing in 25 games, before being dismissed in September of 2025 for violation of team rules.

In those 25 games, Williams recorded 31 total tackles and one pass break up. He didn’t play any snaps in the first two games of the 2025-26 season.

Coming out of Evans HS in Orlando, FL, Williams was the No. 26 overall safety in the 2022 class, the No. 36 prospect out of Florida and the No. 325 overall ranked prospect in the country, choosing Miami over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, OU, Tennessee and Texas A&M among others.
