STILLWATER – Eric Morris and Co. have a talented and speedy wide receiver to go with their four-star quarterback in the 2027 class as Cooper Hooker committed to Oklahoma State on Thursday.
He committed to the Pokes over offers from Arkansas State, Buffalo, East Carolina, Miami (OH) and Texas State among others.
Hooker checks in at 5-9, 175 pounds and currently plays for Pryor, but transferred from Salina ahead of his senior season.
This past season as a junior, Hooker had 50 catches for 850 yards and 15 touchdowns, but combined for 22 on the season.
Those numbers are coming off a sophomore season in which he missed the entire year with a leg injury.
The thing that has really impressed coaches has been his speed. This past March, Hooker posted a 4.44 40-time in St. Louis at an Under Armour camp with a 4.38 shuttle time.
Morris and Co. worked fast to land Hooker. They offered the speedster on May 11, with Hooker posting about a scheduled official visit to OSU for May 29-31 just two days after the offer.
Hooker joins four-star quarterback Carson White as the two commitments so far in the ‘27 class.
