STILLWATER – Oklahoma State will be well-represented at the U20 World Team Trials and U23 Nationals as there will be 15 incoming and current Cowboy wrestlers competing this weekend in Geneva, Ohio.

Competition is scheduled Friday through Sunday.

Each U20 bracket has a spot in the championship series reserved for the U.S. Open winners from last month, which means national champion Cowboy Landon Robideau awaits whoever makes it out of the 70kg bracket this weekend for a best-of-three series.

The winners at each weight of the U20 bracket will earn their place at the World Championships later this year.

As for the U23 portion, the winners won’t be guaranteed a spot due to the possibility of age-eligible wrestlers on the senior national team who want to take a spot at their weight.

There are four current Cowboys set to compete at the U20 World Team Trials, including Ronnie Ramirez, Robideau, Dee Lockett, who will be looking to repeat last year’s success in making Team USA, Kody Routledge, as well as incoming true freshman Dreshaun Ross.

There are 10 Cowboys set to compete at the U23 Nationals.
