Youngsters Lead Oklahoma State to 120-92 Win Over Puerto Rico Fuerza

Game two in Puerto Rico for Oklahoma State was much different as the offensive explosion came from the young players in the Pokes’ 120-92 win over Puerto Rico Fuerza. 

Freshman Parker Robinson led the way for the Pokes as he dropped 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the floor and 2-of-3 from 3-point range. He also had three rebounds and three assists.

Fellow freshman Latrell Allmond was next on the stat sheet with 17 points on 8-of-9 shooting from the floor and 1-for-1 from 3-point range. He also led the team with seven rebounds.

Jalen Montonati played considerable more minutes in game two than game one, scoring two points with three rebounds in 16 minutes.

Sophomores Ryan Crotty and Mekhi Ragland each had 12 points, Ragland going 6-of-9 from the floor and Crotty an impressive 4-of-7 from 3-point range. Ragland also had five boards Jacob Walker finished with 11 points and three assists.

As a team, the Cowboys outrebounded Fuerza 51-25, shot an impressive 55% from the floor, 36% from 3-point range and 89% from the free throw line on 16-of-18 shooting. 

Fouls were still an issue as the Pokes combined for 34 fouls, leading to 27-of-37 shooting from the charity stripe for Fuerza.
