STILLWATER – Oklahoma State head coach Eric Morris met with the media today to discuss the beginning of third week of practice.
You can watch the entire press conference in the video player above.
The first thing he was asked about was the mental physical difficulties of being well into camp but still a few weeks from a game:
"It's taxing on their brains. It's taxing on their bodies right now. We've installed a ton, and right now I think the toughness part comes out where guys are able to push through physically and mentally handling different looks. Everybody's bodies are sore right now. We understand that. But, getting in a rhythm has been phenomenal.
"This is the shortest camp I've ever been a part of, where we only have eight practices before we started school, so a little bit of a disadvantage there. So, we got into a hybrid week, where we're in kind of a mock game week but still getting some good-on-good work right now. But I think it is nice for these kids to find a rhythm and be able to have a set schedule and really get used to this is the first time practice has been in the morning here in a really long time, maybe ever. Getting their bodies adjusted to getting up early, getting their brain going early and then getting to have the rest of the day to go to school, go to study hall, get their lifts in, all those different things. But it's been really nice to finally get on a regular schedule."
