STILLWATER – Oklahoma State dropped a 2-0 contest to Bedlam rival Oklahoma Thursday night at Neal Patterson Stadium.
With the loss, the Cowgirls fell to 1-1-1 on the season, while OU improved to 3-0-0.
The loss snapped OSU's seven-game home winning streak against the Sooners, which dated back to 2017. The Cowgirls are now 17-4-2 all time in Bedlam games on their home field and 32-12-5 in the overall series.
OU got its first goal in the 30th minute when midfielder Kate McCallister headed the ball towards the center of the goal. Goalkeeper Logan Marks got a hand on it, but the ball crossed the line to put the Sooners on the scoreboard.
The visitors took the one-goal lead into halftime and doubled their advantage in the 70th minute when Kayla Keefer buried a shot off a double assist.
OU finished with 13-5 advantage in shots in the contest and held an 8-4 edge in corner kicks.
Up next, the Cowgirls hit the road for their lone away game in non-conference play, which comes Thursday at Mississippi State.
