Carson White's 1st Game at Hightower Doesn't Go as Hoped, Oklahoma State Commit Scores TD

STILLWATER – I wouldn’t worry about Carson White. The ultra-talented Oklahoma State quarterback pledge in the 2027 class opened his senior season on the gridiron on statewide streaming via Texanlive.com and Dave Campbell’s Texas Football site as part of their “Rising” series of top Thursday nigth games in the Lone Star State. White, a four-star “rising prospect” according to Texas Football followed his father (Carnell) from Alvin Iowa Colony High School where he had started for most of three seasons since his freshman year and led his team deep in the Class 5A playoffs and racked up a ton of stats. Now at Hightower, he is with his dad, who is the offensive coordinator and playing against Class 6A competition including that opening opponent in Cypress Ranch.

Cy Ranch opened the scoring and scored the first 10 points. With a few minutes to go in the first half, White kept on a zone read to the left side, read a big hole opening, made two defenders miss and finished off a 40-yard touchdown run with a burst of speed. 

Thye Mustangs of Cy Ranch scored two more touchdowns in the second half and finished off a 24-7 win. Cy Ranch is ranked No. 21 in the state and Hightower is unranked but favored to finish second in their district. The Hurricanes will play at Cypress Springs on Saturday, Sept. 5 in their next action.
