Oklahoma State and Kenny Gajewski got an early start on the 2028 recruiting class as the Cowgirls added infielder, Peyton Cleary.

Cleary plays shortstop for Libert North High School, which is located just northeast of Kansas City in Liberty, Missouri. While she’s one of the top players in the state of Missouri, she’s also considered one of the top softball players in the country in the 2028 class as she checks in inside the top-100.

This past season, Cleary earned a Class 5 All-State selection as she has a strong defensive presence in the middle of the field, as well as a danger on the basepaths once she gets on.

Cleary plays her travel ball with Select Fastpitch.

Gajewski and the Cowgirls currently have six commitments in the 2027 class, which will sign in November, starting with talented four-star pitcher, Alexis Nisyrios out of Kingswood-Oxford School in West Hartford, CT. She’s a top 50-prospect in the class and a top-15 pitcher in the country.

Fellow four-star pitcher Hunter Quentel is out of Kingwood (TX) HS and is a top-85 player in the class and top-25 pitcher in the country. They’re joined by four-star catcher Janie Goldin out of Buford (GA) HS, a top-55 player in the class and top-10 catcher in the country.

Kynli Garrett is also a four-star catcher out of Elgin (OK) HS, a top-120 prospect and top-20 catcher in the country. They’ll all joined by three-star pitcher Camden Mack out of Denison (TX) HS and three-star middle infielder Reagan Evans out of Sedro Woolley HS in Mount Vernon, WA.
