What’s a better way to cap off the first Power Four win for the Cowboys since 2024 than a field storming?
Oklahoma State fans were eager to jump over the Boone Pickens Stadium wall and celebrate with the team. From the press box it was easy to see the lower level of the stands become more and more crowded as the fourth quarter rolled on and victory went from pipe dream to reality.
As soon as Drew Mestemaker kneeled down to run the rest of the time off the clock bodies started falling over the walls on both sides of the field. Security is always present in these scenarios but its job became getting players and coaches off the field safely and letting the celebration commence.
In typical Stillwater fashion the goal posts in the west end zone did not survive the onslaught.
The players were not shy about sharing the excitement of ending the program’s 21-game losing streak with the fans either.
The celebration continued in the locker room after the players were able to exit the field.
