STILLWATER – Oklahoma State head coach Eric Morris met with the media on Tuesday to look ahead to the Big 12 opener against West Virginia this weekend.
The Cowboys are coming off a 59-0 shutout win over Murray State this past weekend to move to 2-1 on the season. The Mountaineers are coming off a 38-27 upset of then-ranked No. 24 Virginia.
“We’re getting there with our team,” Eric Morris said. “I think we’re learning and we’re growing and we’re seeing week-by-week getting a little bit better at some small details, which has been good to see. True test this week; there’s so many things – going on the road, (West Virginia’s) well-coached as anybody that we’ve faced this year. I have a ton of respect for Rich (Rodriguez) and what he’s been able to do. I think he’s almost up to 200 wins as a head coach. So, (he’s) been doing it a long time and his teams always seem to give people fits.”
