STILLWATER – We’re inching closer to the start of the 2026-27 season for Cowboy Wrestling, and Oklahoma State just released its complete schedule.
The Pokes will host six home duals at Gallagher-Iba Arena, but will have seven events as they’ll host a revenue-generating tournament on November 1, featuring the Pokes, Gardner-Webb, Little Rock and SIU-Edwardsville on three mats.
With the actual season beginning a week later, the Cowboys will face nine opponents who were on last year’s schedule, with the Pokes winning all nine of those duals by an average of nearly 22 points per.
The Pokes start the season on Nov. 8 at home against Drexel, a dual the Pokes won 45-0 last time out in 2021. This is a different OSU top to bottom with three returning national champions. The next dual will also be at home as they’re hosting Nebraska on Nov. 13, with the Pokes leading the all-time series 25-1.
The Cowboys hit the road for the first time on Nov. 20 as they’ll face Arizona State in the first Big 12 dual of the season. The next day will be OSU and Arizona State facing off on the football field.
The road trip out to Arizona also features a leg out to Palo Alto, CA and a match up against Stanford on Nov. 22, just the second time the Pokes have face the Cardinal on the road.
December features several matchups, including the second annual Nationals Duals, a 16-team tournament with a prize pool of more than $1.2 million. The Pokes took home third place in last year’s event.
The Pokes host Missouri on January 10, West Virginia the 17th and OU and Bedlam down in Norman on Jan. 24. The Cowboys will be looking to extend their all-time in the series as they currently holds a 153-27-10 record against the Sooners.
The regular season comes to a close on the road against Iowa in Iowa City as the Pokes look to earn their first win in Carver-Hawkeye Arena since 2012.
