The Folks Doing the NIL/Revenue Share Funding at Oklahoma State Post a Message
STILLWATER – With all the stories coming out this week regarding possible changes within the leadership of the athletic department, namely athletic director Chad Weiberg, it is not surprising the people who are making the largest contributions to help Oklahoma State University athletics negotiate this volatile and expensive period in major college athletics would want their viewpoint out there.
As college football was being played across the nation and the Big 12 on Saturday, Loyal and True Marketing, an organization which includes some of the most generous and, for sure the largest donor to revenue share and NIL payments to Oklahoma State University athletes sent a message across social media. Those donations provide the payments to athletes primarily in football, basketball, and women’s basketball, but also includes other Olympic sports.
Part of the message included this:
OUR PURPOSE IS CLEAR. OUR PROMISE STANDS.
Through every season of change, Loyal + True remains committed to the student-athletes and coaches who represent Oklahoma State.
We’ll continue to show up, honor our commitments, and support the people who make Cowboy Nation special.
TRUST BUILT THROUGH ACTION
The graphic included the complete message with some other sentences that I found very interesting.
“Among the turmoil and discord created by those who have chosen disruption over stability, we will continue working directly with these student-athletes, coaches, and their families, maintaining communication, developing meaningful opportunities, and standing behind commitments we have made.”
The final paragraph started with this.
“University personnel decisions rest with Oklahoma State and its leadership. Regardless of these decisions, our mission remains steadfast supporting our student-athletes and coaches, strengthening the relationships we have built, and contributing to their success in competition and in life.”
It is clear that many involved, including the outcry from Cowboys fans throughout this week, support Weiberg, support athletics and want to see the University be more supportive and less disruptive when it comes to the athletic department.
