Oklahoma State's Nose Tackle Jerry Lawson Was a High School Running Back, Really!

Jerry Lawson's played more snaps than anybody at nose tackle. However, the plan coming out of Breckenridge High School was to run over tackles, not make them.

STILLWATER – It’s really hard to picture when you see No. 92 out there playing nose tackle for Oklahoma State. The 6-1, 312 pound Lawson is considered a little small for the position by his head coach.

“Jerry’s a little bit undersized, but just the attitude, the grit that he plays with. He's been phenomenal,” Cowboys head coach Eric Morris said.
