STILLWATER – Oklahoma State dominated Incarnate Word 91-60 in the 2026-27 season opener in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
The Cowboys were led by senior transfer guard, Luka Bogavac, who dropped 14 points off the bench in his OSU debut. He finished shooting 5-of-9 from the floor, 2-of-5 from 3-point range and 2-of-2 from the free throw line, along with four rebounds and one assist.
Both Jordan Burks, who started the game, and freshman Parker Robinson finished with 11 points, Burks on 4-of-7 shooting from the floor and Robinson 3-of-4, both going 4-of-4 from the free throw line.
With Kanye Clary still out with a groin injury, sophomore transfer guard Jacob Walker got the start at point guard, finishing with eight points and three rebounds with a game-high eight assists.
As a team, all 12 Cowboys scored points while shooting 45% from the floor, 38% from 3-point range and 76% from the free throw line on 22-of-29 shooting.
They outrebounded UIW 38-28, including an impressive 15-3 on the offensive end resulting in 21 second-chance points. They also outscored them 58-17 off the bench and 34-28 in the paint.
The Cowboys also limited turnovers on the night to just nine, while forcing 21 on the other end, leading to 27 points.
The first half went just about as seamlessly as one could’ve hoped for as nine different Cowboys scored, with transfers Bogavac and Burks leading the way with 12 points and 10 points respectively. Robinson also had a great first half as went perfect from the field for nine points.
The Pokes entered the break leading 54-17 and on a 21-5 run over the final six and a half minutes. They shot an impressive 47% from the floor, 44% from 3-point range and 77% from the free throw line in the first frame, outrebounding UIW 24-12.
The Cowboys are back in action this coming Friday as they play host to Queens (NC.)
