Oklahoma State Offers 2023 4-Star Texas Defensive Lineman Avion Carter
Oklahoma State sent out another offer on the defensive side of the ball in the 2023 class today with a defensive lineman at Tascosa High School in Amarillo, Texas.
Avion Carter, who is 6’4 and around 240 pounds, is a highly productive athlete that has seen his recruitment come to life in the early months of 2021. Oklahoma State is the newest name to throw their hat in the ring, joining 13 others.
His offer list includes Arizona State, Baylor, LSU, California, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, SMU, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, UCF, and USC.
Carter is a highly productive guy being credited with 67 total tackles with 18 tackles for loss. He also added 10 sacks to his season. His numbers earned him first team all district at defensive end as a sophomore.
Upon first watch of some of his film, he is very quick off the line and uses his hands well. He is your typical disruptor, causing havoc in the backfield often. He has both speed and strength that makes his virtually unblockable for most offensive lineman. Another thing stands out about him is that when he gets his hands on you, he does not let you get away.
Carter is already quite a popular recruit among teams but given that he still has all summer left as well as his junior and senior seasons, he will pick up plenty of more offers in between now and then, so this recruitment may turn into a battle.
