STILLWATER – Big12 Commissioner Brett Yormark tried to stifle the talk about expansion or realignment involving the Big 12 Conference when he met via Zoom with media from the conclusion of the Big 12 Spring Business Meeting with school presidents and athletic directors at The Greenbriar resort in White Sulphur Springs, W.V. The meetings started with the athletic directors on Tuesday and the presidents came in on Wednesday.

I actually heard Mr. Sourpuss himself, SEC cheerleader Paul Finebaum, say in an interview that the Big XII was ascendent among the other three Power 5 conferences (ACC, Big XII and PAC 12) and that the other two seemed to be dealing with a fair amount of strife making the Big XII the clear number 3!

hmmm..... we made $1 million more per school... that does not even cover inflation.

Yeah!! Clap, clap, clap!!

separating basketball may be his best idea, but he postponed that until after this 6-year deal if finished, so why even both to keep talking about that?

A B12 Retail Store?

Yeah!! Clap, clap, clap!!

as if I'm supposed to buy a B12 Conf hat instead of another OSU cap.... SMH

A conference retail store could bring in more revenue, but at what cost? Who is going to be buying B12 stuff that is not already buying their own School's stuff? I'd like to see some real numbers on this idea.

I can understand the excitement from some member schools about anything at all even happening, since for the past 2 decades the conference leadership did absolutely nothing... but we need to keep these seemingly non-sensical ideas in check.

What are you talking about, Big XII Conference Retail Store....?? If you're referring to the new VP for Commercial Sales, that doesn't have anything to do with opening a retail store.

are you sure? What does a "Commercial Sales DIVISION" do then to improve sales? Sell commercials for our TV partners? Sell naming rights to the conference? The Weed Eater Big 12 Conference!

The news of record revenue distribution comes less than 24 hours after the Big 12 announced the creation of a commercial sales division.

"As we continue to innovate the Big 12 Conference, controlling our commercial business is a crucial step," said Commissioner Brett Yormark. "Through our commercial sales division, the Big 12 will look to grow each aspect of our Conference, enhancing existing revenue drivers and establishing new ones.

So, not only will the revenue expand once the new TV grant of rights goes into place, but the revenue should go up with the new sales division.
